    Above all else we rely on you for 3 things. Make great work that meets client objectives, makes teams proud and drives our business.

     

    1) Make great work that meets client objectives

    • Be the client team’s partner on a programme of work, guiding them through to a successful delivery
    • Lead, steer and successfully manage complex / high profile projects
    • Partner, support and effectively collaborate with all business teams where required to ensure delivery to time, budget, and quality.
    • Ensure new work is correctly scoped, has a clear brief, project plan and statement of work
    • Ensure statements of work with both clients and third parties are written with the appropriate level of rigor.
    • Ensure projects are successfully managed from conception to completion, delivered on time, on budget and to quality targets (customer satisfaction survey, margin)
    • Ensure projects have accurate, up to date resource planning and allocation, and have up to date project/milestone plans
    • Assess feasibility of concepts and ensure scope matches proposed budget and time frame (while always promoting creativity).
    • Ownership of all project deliverables
    • Pro actively identifying and solving issues, and mitigating risks
    • Manage team scrums, highlight issues, risks, resources and additional requirements
    • Identify and bring in skill sets from all parts of Ogilvy Group (incl Hogarth, Verticurl, SocialLab)

    2) Make great work that makes teams proud

    • Partner with all discipline leads to ensure we make work in the right way and respect the inputs of all disciplines.
    • Demands a culture of respect and professionalism at all levels of the organization
    • Act as a project mentor to all client teams, ensuring they have the coaching, mentoring, resources and training needed to produce high quality results and further develop their skills.
    • Proactively identify and make operational improvements
    • Ensure that all project managers (and AMs) are working to common structure, guidelines and tools
    • Within your own team and direct reports you are responsible for completing performance reviews (career conversations), retaining employees and assisting in career development
    • Have regular one 2 ones with your team members (depending on the size of the team), help and support them by eliciting out of them the right solutions to the business problems they face day to day.
    • Take part in Ogilvy Group delivery initiatives when asked

     

    3) Make great work that drives our business

    • Works closely and collaboratively with account managers, communicates with clients and teams on an on-going basis and ensures changing resource and project requirements are met
    • Integrates an understanding of project management expertise to contribute to the development of a long-term relationship with our clients
    • Improves customer satisfaction through maintaining/improving the quality of delivery to clients and acting as an expert consultant to the client in delivery matters
    • Lead by example, ensuring that where required the correct suppliers & contract resources to deliver a project are identified, briefed, selected and that the appropriate agreements are put in place to ensure successful delivery
    • Ensuring that all changes are raised and charged over and above project agreements
    • Takes responsibility for excellence within the project management discipline and takes responsibility for contributing to organizational success
    • Identifies feasibility, technical and operational risks
    • Regular reporting of project and client performance to Managing Partner, highlighting areas for improvement and also good practice
    • Champion best practice and continued improvement
