    Working on Unilever, with access to a 360 view on how this works at a local level and in Regional hub reporting context.

    This role is suitable for a nearly or recently qualified accountant.  There will be significant interaction with Project Management and Client Account teams which requires business partnering elements.  This role is responsible for internal client reporting and working help inform strategic decisions.


    It reports directly into the Financial Controller, acting as cover when required, and with dotted line to WW Finance Director. The role also has scope to manage a junior team member as the team develops.

    Key Responsibilities:


    • Responsibility for Unilever revenue reporting, in adherence to the timetables, including the forecast, budget, month end recognition and maintaining revenue trackers for each Unilever brand on an ongoing basis
    • Manage the posting of month-end journals, in a timely manner, to ensure revenue in TB ties back to agreed reported revenue
    • Ensure all revenue is SOX compliant and assist in SOX audits as required
    • Prepare Aged Accruals & Deferrals balance sheet reconciliations with commentary and schedules for Cartesis upload
    • Proactive follow up on aged balances accrued and deferred revenue to ensure they are cleared
    • Manage and run the twice monthly revenue review meetings in order to accurately predict revenue for the month
    • Manage the preparation of the monthly Job burn report that tracks projects. Understand scope management and margin implications
    • Meet with Project Managers on a regular basis in order to understand the latest job status, challenge overruns, review job burn, scopes and staffing and develop margin improvement plans
    • Job Management:  ensure jobs are opened and closed in a timely manner, amend and approve job budgets, amend access rights to jobs, approve purchase orders for third party costs, set exchange rates on jobs where required
    • Regular review of Rate cards
    • Review Out of Scope and new project proposals and estimates
    • Assist with resource planning; fee proposals and complete client time and cost reconciliations. Join status meetings. Prepare resource plans for capacity planning and contribution margin targets
    • Assist the FC in the roll out of foreign currency hedging
    • Use Unilever SWOP (Scope of Work) tool:  Understand the Unilever SWOP tool, ensure accurate information is accessed and retained, liaise directly with Unilever on SWOP admin and issuing of POs, update the Account Mgmt Leads of SWOP changes
    • Understand the Unilever client contract and any usual clauses ensuring client account teams adhere to requirements
    • Work with Biller to manage WIP and maintain NWC position and assist with wip related queries 
    • Manage the chase up of missing timesheets and preparation of the weekly timesheet report
    • Working with the WW Commercial Director to produce monthly Unilever WW variance analysis reports with commentary, and review local office forecasts on a quarterly basis
    • Liaison with Singapore office as part of the One Unilever
    • Ad hoc work includes assisting where required on debtors chase up, liaison with Finance Plus Shared Service division, training finance and non-finance staff in best commercial practise, assist in pitch submission financial information gathering and provide cover for the FC when required

    You are great at...

    Require Experience:

    • Newly qualified or studying towards professional qualification – ACCA, CIMA
    • 4 years + experience working in a finance team
    • Strong analytical and financial skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Strong excel and systems skills (Maconomy/Cartesis would be an advantage)
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • A proactive and inquisitive approach at all times and, a desire to contribute to continual improvements to processes and working methods
    • Effective organisational and time management skills
    • Positive, solution driven individual who works well under their own initiative
    • Be a natural team-player capable of participation at all levels.

     Desired Experience:

    • Media industry experience or project-based service industry
